1 month, 3 weeks agoI find it disappointing that most of the injected damp courses I inspect have not followed BS 6576 by drilling through external render or a rendered plinth. Do they not have a copy?

Recently moved into a bungalow built in the 1960’s. Have major problem with plaster blistering and paint flaking due to rising damp. The walls are stone built, plastered each side, 2ft wide externally and 1 ft wide internally. Would the injected DPC cream work in these? If not, would you have any alternative recommendations?Thanks

Your 100% right Rennie, I find that external defects are a major cause of internal damp and timber issues rather than the problem always being diagnosed as rising damp. 👍
